DTTC 2024
Places Available : 14
This workshop has been designed as CPD training for Equi-Therapy UK Graduates & any other fully qualified Equine Therapist, Farrier or Dentist wanting to expand their knowledge.
We all know & appreciate how difficult it can be to discuss the weight of your clients horse. Any measures that are needed can be difficult to implement & can easily offend. As equine practitioners it is becoming more & more difficult to advise in the health & weight of our clients horses, yet it is an important part of our role.
This workshop is carried out by members of the BHS Welfare Team & will offer hints, tips & practical applications to help you, as a therapist, give the right information & advice to your clients which will be both rewarding & proactive.
- Fat scoring (Also known as Body Condition Scoring BCS) can be used to assess the overall weight & condition of a horse – you will learn hands-on applications to help in you assess & aid your practise
- There are also manners in which to explain your findings to your owners in a polite & effective way.
It’s a very hands-on experience & hopefully you will leave with the knowledge & skills to help your clients & their horses get fitter & healthier for the future.
This workshop will take place at Kirsty Hardstaff Equestrian, Hall Farm, Main Street, Linby, Nottingham, NG15 8AE. The cost of this workshop is £75.00 inclusive of a CPD certificate of attendance.
Attendees will be expected to provide their own lunch should you be staying for the day, but liquid refreshments will be freely available through the day.
